Rejection… what if they call me an idiot, or yells and tell me to get out of here? What if my family and friends poke fun at me? What if they don’t show up for the appointment and I have my upline waiting with me?

Failure… It’s been two years and I can’t seem to sponosor even one person. What if I didn’t sell any product this month? I told my spouse it would work this time, and I failed again.

I agree that network marketing can be a trying experience. In today’s competitive, capitalistic society, it has become the survival of the fittest. This industry will show you your strenghts and weaknesses alike. But with that knowledge you can make the neccessary changes to become what you desire to become.

There is a price to be paid in this industry. If you’re willing to pay that price your future just became very bright in network marketing. You have what it takes already inside of you, but we sometimes let our own fears block us from achieving greatness.

Here’s something I learned: Prospecting and recruiting is an emotional event that is usually is driven by fear. It’s all about the way you think, really. It boils down to the psychology of leadership.

Some people can sponsor new distributors without any effort at all, it seems. Others struggle for long periods of time and never sponsor anyone.

Sponsoring, prospecting and recruiting has nothing to do with scripts or even what you say to people. It’s not about having the exact rebuttal to an objection or anything like that. It boils down to the way you THINK about sponsoring that makes all the difference.

This will shock you, but the goal is not to SELL people on your product or opportunity. A big problem arises when you try and sell in this industry. Especially when you’re promoting your business opportunity.
