Warning: Bling-Marketers and the Home-Based Internet Marketing Business Don’t Mix

Searching for a home-based Internet marketing business? If you are, it is more than likely that you’ve stumbled across what I like to call the “Bling-Marketer.

Bling-Marketers are those guys you see marketing Online leaning against Lamborghinis and Porches with their arms folded and smug looks on their faces; or in YouTube videos with screen-shots of their bank accounts showing long columns of big deposits. Clearly it is working for them–thats no surprise. These days, it would be more surprising to find someone that wasn’t aware that home-based Internet marketing businesses are extremely profitable–even more so now during this recession.

Although there seems to be an endless variety to pick from (some that make more sense than others), few seeking a business opportunity to work with understand that deciding upon the “right” business is only half the “battle”. Their success or failure in business on the Internet will likely hinge upon one critical decision: Who they choose as a Mentor (or “sponsor or enroller”).

Few spend enough time researching their options when looking at home-based Internet marketing businesses, but it is even much more rare to find biz-op seekers who take the time to research those people that they will be dependent upon for guidance, training, and support as theyre learning their new business.

And now we discover that we’ve come back around to this article’s title and why we should never do business with Bling-Marketers.

1) Do Bling-Marketer tactics work? Yes . . . for some. But frankly not only is this approach simply tacky, it is Bling-Marketers that give the online business-opportunity industry the Scam-Huckster reputation it unfortunately often deserves. This is extremely frustrating for those that are attempting to bring legitimacy to the home-based Internet marketing business industry.

2) The inclusion of disclaimers on there sales pages may possible be a thin legal protection from the U. S. Federal Trade Commission, but this approach clearly violates the spirit of Truth in Advertising regulations and is causing the FTC to step in again to create more draconian restrictions on marketers.

3) It is obvious that those that enroll into the programs promoted by Bling-Marketers don’t stop to consider that this type of marketing isn’t duplicate-able. It must be a rude awakening when the come face to face with the reality that they simply can’t use the same tactics that seduced them into buying. Not only do they not have a Maserati and rows of deposits in their bank account to show, but now they discover that they’re completing against their so-called “mentor” who does!

The home-based Internet marketing business industry requires proper training to experience success, and if these “new arrivals” to the market ever hope to succeed, they won’t be able to do it “playing on the same field” as their sponsor–after all, how can they? They don’t have rows of bank deposits to flash or a Lamborghini to lean against. Imagine how painful the realization must be when it becomes clear to them that now they must complete against their own sponsor who does! OUCH! They can be successful . . . if they are taught how to market correctly, but it is likely they won’t be getting this training from the mentor as his marketing style is clear evidence that he really doesn’t care about whether or not those he got involved are successful or not.

So left to figure it out on there own, they are almost certain to fail. Most come to the conclusion that they were “scammed”, with is truly unfortunate because if they had simply had the right mentor or marketing team to work with they would have experience a much different out-come. They deserved much more than what the Bling-Marketer falsely promised them.

The home-based Internet marketing business industry is booming and is a fantastic opportunity to create true wealth for those that are prepared to roll of their sleeves and get to work learning this exciting business. However, remember to take the time to research your new mentor as much as you do the business opportunity you are joining.
