As stated before, customers must be able to easily use the cart in a safe, secure fashion. Make sure that your ecommerce software is both certified and well-reviewed. Do not cut costs, or you will pay for it later. The best ecommerce software will be easy for both you and your customers to use. Choosing well now will result in much more future satisfaction!
The ability to upgrade is another important consideration. Your business may be small now, but what about a year from now? Surely you would like to grow, and hopefully your shopping cart will grow with you. Make sure to choose a cart that is good at adapting to different requirements and scales of customers. You do not want to lose business because your cart cannot fill a particularly large and complex order.
