A tattooist can keep himself abreast of the latest developments in his field by taking membership in bodies that promote this art and it is a sad fact that most famous tattoo artists are not from any association. It is necessary for a tattoo creator to have basic know – how of dealing with infection borne out of the harmful bacteria existing in blood and body fluid in some jurisdictions, while simply getting through an exam on the precautions to be followed during the tattoo procedure will get him a license to commence his trade in certain other jurisdictions.

Aftercare

Subjecting the new tattoo creation to any water at home or at a pool during the first 15 days can cause the ink to wash away besides opening up the risk of contamination and over hydration from the bacteria and chlorine present in the pool.

Some tattoo artists also suggest keeping the tattoo covered for the initial 24 hours, while there are some others who recommend getting rid of the bandage within a couple of hours.
